Our Ways of Action

Guiding Principles

  • Our movement is non-violent, and acts through strikes, protests and demonstrations.
  • Our movement consists of students from all across the country and of all ages, all religions and all genders, who act together for a single shared purpose which is relevant to all the citizens of our country
  • Our movement is not part of and/or familiarized with a specific political party or a certain political wing
  • Our movement is a democratic and grassroots movement, that is - we are rooted in local communities, all of our members are equal and have the same power.
  • Our movement acts in order to change the enforcement and legislation on topics which have been defined as necessary by different reports of the UN and which are relevant to Israel

How Do We Operate?

Strike For Future Israel operates on a few different levels:

In the field – organization of protests, strikes, exhibits and other activities against superior governmental and industrial bodies. 

We operate in collaboration with the Global Fridays For Future movement, and participate in annual climate marches.

In the media – organization of digital protests and dissemination of our actions throughout the media.

In the political realm – promotion of climate legislation in the Knesset, through collaboration with MKs and participation in different committees, collaboration with governmental bodies such as the National Student Council.

In collaboration with other organizations – Strike For Future Israel is a member of Life and Environment – an umbrella organization of most of Israel’s environmental movements and organizations. We are a member of the Israeli Climate Coalition along with other environmental organizations. We operate in close collaboration with organizations such as Green Course, Parents for Climate, Teachers for Climate and Extinction Rebellion Israel.
